Job summary

Valley Youth House in Bethlehem, PA seeks an Overnight Youth Specialist to supervise youth during overnight shifts, employing trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches. You will engage youth, support life skills, and ensure safety on-site while coordinating with a team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's in Human Services preferred, and at least one year of adolescent experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's in Human Services preferred.
• 1 year of experience with adolescents preferred; lived experience considered.
• Ability to navigate stairs and obtain DMV clearance for vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality supervision to assigned clients during evenings, overnights, and weekends on-site.
• Engage clients using positive youth development and trauma-informed frameworks.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety in compliance with regulations and funder requirements.
• Report crises and complete safety plans as required by policy.
• Attend training and complete required hours annually.
