180 Degrees, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Youth Advocate for Rochester Youth Shelter in Rochester, MN. The role supports youth aged 12–19, building trust, providing safety, and coordinating with a team to stabilize youths’ lives in crisis.

You will work evening to overnight shifts, engage in milieu management, de‑escalation, basic daily living assistance, and documentation. Benefits include PTO, insurance, 401(k) match, and a $600 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Must lift, reach, bend, stoop, kneel; climb stairs as needed.
• Lifting and physical requirements for kitchen and meal prep.
• Cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Be a stabilizing, trustworthy presence for youth navigating trauma, instability, and uncertainty.
• Build genuine relationships that help youth feel seen, safe, and supported.
• Manage the day‑to‑day rhythm of the shelter: milieu management, structure, and support.
• Step in with calm, skilled de‑escalation when emotions escalated.
• Help with daily living needs, because healing starts with the basics.
• Support medication management, ensuring youth stay safe and on track with their health needs.
• Collaborate with Youth Advocates, case managers, and support staff for a unified experience.
• Support case‑management goals and maintain solid documentation with direct impact to youth.
