180 Degrees, Inc. in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Youth Advocate (FT) to support homeless and at-risk youth at Brittany's Place Youth Shelter.

The role runs Mon-Fri, 5pm-10pm, with every other weekend, and offers a $600 sign-on bonus plus PTO, EAP, and retirement benefits. You will build trust, supervise milieu, de-escalate crises, and help youth access daily living supports. Qualifications

• 21 years of age.
• Valid drivers license; auto insurance required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background study.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Must be able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and use flights of stairs.

Responsibilities

• Be a stabilizing, trustworthy presence for youth navigating trauma and uncertainty.
• Build genuine relationships that help youth feel seen, safe, and supported.
• Manage the day-to-day rhythm of the shelter: milieu management, structure, and support.
• Step in with calm, skilled de-escalation when emotions escalate.
• Help with daily living needs, because healing starts with basics.
• Support medication management, ensuring youth stay safe and on track with health needs.
• Collaborate with a team of Youth Advocates, case managers, and support staff.
• Support case management goals and documentation of impact.
