Job summary

The Women's Shelter and Support Center in Rochester, MN is seeking an Advocate to provide emotional support and crisis intervention for clients facing domestic violence. You will work within a compassionate team to connect individuals with resources and navigate safety planning, legal and social services.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work flexible hours including overnights and weekends; prior advocacy or crisis intervention experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis intervention or advocacy work is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support and advocacy for clients in crisis situations.
• Assist clients in navigating legal and social services systems.
• Facilitate support groups and educational workshops.
• Collaborate with community organizations to enhance support services.

Overnight & Evening shifts. Overnight shifts will include a $1.50/hour shift differential.
