Job summary

Floor & Decor in The Colony, TX is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct and oversee warehouse operations for the store. You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, while managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

The role emphasizes scheduling, safety, and cross-department coordination to ensure accurate receiving and shipping, with extended hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience (warehouse/distribution)
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with other departments across the company
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Competent in basic math calculations
• Strong computer skills in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Available for extended hours during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping/receiving
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, inventory)
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs with maintenance
• Uphold warehouse safety programs per OSHA and internal standards
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures
• Handle disciplinary actions and maintain productive labor climate
• Coordinate with departments to optimize operations
• Prepare management activity reports
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and receiving reports
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP
• Oversee product staging for counts and inspections
• Ensure proper storage to conserve space and safety
