Job summary

Floor & Decor in Madison, WI seeks an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct warehouse operations and supervise warehouse staff, including specialists, order pickers and forklift operators. Responsibilities include daily scheduling, coordinating shipping/receiving, maintaining inventory integrity, safety programs, and ensuring efficient, cost-conscious operations across the store's warehouse.

Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in warehouse/distribution.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills; able to work in Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control).
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and communicate repairs.
• Oversee warehouse safety programs and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures and handle inquiries.
• Coordinate with other departments for efficient operations and complete activity reports.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Oversee product staging for counting/inspection and proper inventory rotation.
