Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic - O’Fallon seeks a Veterinary Assistant (Overnight/Swing) to support veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency setting. Responsibilities include patient care, restraint, anesthesia assistance, and clerical tasks.

The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $1,500 based on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a national network of hospitals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in veterinary medicine preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs upon arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with medications and exams as directed by veterinarians/LVTs.
• Maintain medical records and proper documentation.
• Ensure hospital cleanliness and safety; operate and maintain equipment.
