Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic - O'Fallon is seeking a Veterinary Assistant (Overnight/Swing) to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks including cleaning, preparing surgeries, restraining patients, and handling clerical work.

This 24/7 emergency hospital in MO offers a shift differential for overnight shifts and a range of benefits to support team members’ wellbeing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of experience in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, weigh and record vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, treatments and medication under supervision.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients; assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Maintain medical records and assist with laboratory tests and radiographs.
