Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Emergency Clinic - O'Fallon is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for overnight and swing shifts in a 24/7 emergency setting in Missouri. You will support veterinarians and technicians, manage patient care, restraint, and basic clerical duties while ensuring high-quality service to pet owners.

The role offers an overnight shift differential and a sign-on bonus up to $1,500.00 based on experience, with a focus on compassionate care and team collaboration across a busy ER

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older to be considered.
High school diploma or equivalent.
0-1 year of experience in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to all patients.
Greet patients and their owners, record weight and vital signs.
Triage patients, perform exams, and assist with medications as directed by licensed staff.
Calm and soothe anxious patients; assist doctors and technicians with procedures.
Perform laboratory tests, radiographs, and equipment maintenance.
