VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (MECA) in Greenfield, WI seeks a Veterinary Assistant for its Overnight team. This full-time role offers 12-hour overnight shifts (6:00 pm–6:00 am), three shifts per week with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.

Compensation ranges from $18–$24 per hour, determined by experience. You will assist in emergencies, monitor patients, communicate with pet owners, and help maintain equipment while collaborating with a dedicated emergency team.

VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (MECA) in Greenfield, WI is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Overnight team!

Schedule:

Full time, Overnight shift (6:00 pm-6:00 am). 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week ( 3 x 12 hour ). Alternating weekends and rotating holidays are required.

Compensation:

$18 - 24/hr and the starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

• Assist in Emergency Procedures: Support veterinarians and technicians during emergency surgeries, trauma care, and critical treatments.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive care to emergency patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing comfort.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing them with updates and information about their pet's condition and care instructions.
• Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that all emergency equipment is properlymaintainedand that supplies are well-stocked and ready for use.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our emergency veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of care anda seamlessoperation during emergencies.
