VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced emergency and critical care team in Wisconsin. You will support veterinarians and technicians during emergencies, monitor patients, and communicate with pet owners about care and conditions.

The role emphasizes swift, compassionate care, collaboration with a skilled team, and maintaining emergency equipment and supplies for seamless operations through overnight

Qualifications

• Assist in emergency procedures and stabilize patients as directed.
• Monitor vitals and provide comfort to critically ill or injured pets.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners about condition and care.
• Maintain equipment and keep supplies stocked for emergencies.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality care.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team.

• Assist in Emergency Procedures: Support veterinarians and technicians during emergency surgeries, trauma care, and critical treatments.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive care to emergency patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing comfort.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing them with updates and information about their pet's condition and care instructions.
• Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that all emergency equipment is properly maintained and that supplies are well-stocked and ready for use.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our emergency veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of care and a seamless operation during emergencies.

Compensation: Starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field

Schedule: Full-time, 4 x10 hour shifts, 3rd shift/Overnight
