Job summary

VOA Northern California & Northern Nevada is hiring full-time overnight Support Staff for the Meadowview Navigation Center in Sacramento. This role focuses on compassionate service to women experiencing homelessness, ensuring safety, basic needs, and adherence to program rules.

Shifts run from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The position offers a benefits package including paid holidays, vacation, health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with homeless populations preferred.
• Effective communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to work irregular hours including overnight shifts.
• Must be able to de-escalate crises and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, quality service to program guests.
• Assess guests' needs and coordinate daily routines.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports; document concerns.
• Operate security tasks including check-in/check-out, surveillance, and emergency response.
• Assist with meal coordination, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks.
• Support case management through appropriate escalation of guest issues.
