Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Appleton, WI seeks an Overnight Team Leader to plan, staff, and supervise daily store operations across departments.

You’ll mentor team members, promote strong customer service, and drive sales while maintaining store standards during overnight hours. You’ll manage staffing, hiring decisions, and development paths, handle disciplinary actions, oversee P&L and shrink, and ensure team training and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Strong communication to provide clear direction.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Experience mentoring team members across roles including hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, and supervise daily store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Handle staffing, hiring, and succession planning decisions.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations on discharge.
• Manage P&L, sales, and shrink for the department.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and Meijer initiatives.
• Ensure team training and required certifications are completed.
• Promote a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
