Job summary

Crosby’s Stores in New York is seeking a motivated Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations, support the Team Leader, and deliver outstanding customer service. The advertised pay includes a $1.50 shift differential for hours 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

This role focuses on supervising team members, upholding high standards, and creating a welcoming, safe shopping environment while driving store success and efficiencies throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work at least 40 hours/week, including weekends.
• Experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation for position requirements.
• Serve Safe certified, preferred.
• Proficient in basic math to handle cash transactions and reports.
• Ability to verify customer identification.
• Familiar with lottery or point-of-sale systems.
• Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items following Crosby’s standards.
• Promote and assist customers with My Crosby’s Rewards enrollment.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-on recommendations.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and brand standards.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels.
• Provide feedback on employee performance and development.
• Assist with cash handling and daily bank deposits accuracy.
• Monitor safety, equipment, and store conditions.
