Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to plan, direct and supervise team members across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and implement strategies to boost store sales while meeting company standards.

You will manage staffing, training, and promotions, with accountability for P&L and shrink targets. Expect a fast-paced environment focused on prime shopping hours and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing store teams and scheduling.
• Ability to communicate directions clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Experience analyzing financial and statistical information to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Provide career paths and development for team members; involved in promotions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and discharge decisions.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team to meet customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure thorough training and time in-store with customers.
• Maintains a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
