Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Stocker to keep shelves full, organized, and ready for customers each morning. You’ll unload trucks, rotate products, tag shelves, and maintain a clean backroom while working with a team during the overnight shift.

The role emphasizes active, physical work, attention to detail, and strong teamwork. Training is provided, and the position is in-store with an hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages required.
• Clear communication with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products and reaching items; communicate feedback to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Monitor mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries; report issues.
• Organize stock for efficiency and clean/restock damaged items.
• Tag shelves with overstock and manage back room organization.
• Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input.
• Work with teammates to ensure smooth overnight operation.
• Maintain Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and policies.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
