Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Stocker to support the overnight crew by unloading trucks, stocking shelves, rotating products, and ensuring backroom organization for a fresh morning display. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment and help customers locate products and provide friendly service.

No prior experience is required; training is provided. The role emphasizes active, physical work during overnight hours with a starting hourly wage and company benefits information available.

Qualifications

• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly.
• Organize stock for greatest efficiency and clean and restock any damaged items.
• Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers.
• Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input.
• Work alongside teammates to ensure a smooth overnight operation.
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies.
