Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Stocker to join our Grocery team in overnight shifts. You will help unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure backroom organization to keep shelves full and ready for customers each morning.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to dress code and hygiene standards, and a readiness to assist in other store areas as needed. Previous experience is not required but a high school diploma is needed, with up to six months of related work preferred.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback or requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly.
• Organize stock for greatest efficiency and restock any damaged items.
• Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers.
• Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input.
• Work alongside teammates to ensure a smooth, efficient overnight operation.
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies.
