Job summary

Mercy Washington in Washington, MO is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to perform overnight sleep studies under supervision, focusing on patient prep, equipment setup, and safe data collection.

You’ll calibrate equipment to AASM standards, monitor patients through the night, score studies, and document care in the EMR, contributing to quality sleep medicine in a community hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program is preferred.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight sleep studies, including polysomnography, CPAP/BiPAP titration, split-night protocols, and MSLT.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment in accordance with AASM standards.
• Monitor patients throughout the night and respond to clinical events with confidence.
• Accurately score studies and produce detailed reports.
• Educate patients on sleep disorders and PAP therapy.
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols.
• Document all care in the EMR.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS (American Heart Association) within 3 months
