Job summary

Bowery Residents Committee (BRC) is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead frontline staff and manage overnight shelter operations in New York. The role focuses on safety, policy adherence, and accurate documentation, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Community Technicians and operations support staff.
• Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring safety, security, and fire safety compliance.
• Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Review and maintain accurate records, reports, and clinical notes.
• Respond to incidents and provide guidance to staff as needed.
• Participate in weekly program and leadership meetings.
• Provide emergency First Aid/CPR assistance when required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
