Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc. in Manhattan, NY, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for East Harlem Safe Haven. This full-time role (37.5 hrs/week) leads frontline staff, maintains shelter operations, and enforces safety, documentation, and agency policies.

Responsibilities include incident response, records maintenance, and participation in leadership meetings. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and First Aid/CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in homeless shelters or similar settings preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes.
• Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).

• Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring safety, security, and fire safety compliance.
• Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Review and maintain accurate records, reports, and clinical notes.

• Participate in weekly program and leadership meetings.
• Provide emergency First Aid/CPR assistance when required.

Join BRC in a leadership role that helps ensure safety, stability, and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Shift Supervisor, you'll oversee frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.

What You’ll Do
