Job summary

BOWERY RESIDENTS' COMMITTEE in New York is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.

This full-time role requires supervising a team, coordinating daily activities, and responding to incidents to keep residents safe. The position offers growth opportunities within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in homeless shelters or similar settings preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes.
• Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
