Job summary

Victory Programs Incorporated in Boston seeks an Awake Overnight Low Threshold Housing Resident Assistant to support residents, staff, and daily operations at Willows. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and compassionate engagement during the overnight shift.

You will maintain a safe living environment, assist with inventory and housekeeping, and participate in supervision and training to uphold the program’s standards of care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification (may be obtained upon hire).
• TB screening (may be obtained upon hire).
• Knowledge of Addiction/Recovery and Harm Reduction Practices/Philosophy or willingness to acquire within the first six months of employment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills including an ability to have open and affirming conversations.
• Ability to work and relate to residents in a helpful, directive, and compassionate manner.
• Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the residence in good repair, orderliness and free from hazards.
• Provide fire safety compliance and safe housing environment.
• Engage in relationship building, crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Document observations, encounters and incidents during shifts.
• Assist with inventory of client belongings and household supplies.
• Support daily office tasks, phone coverage, reception and house records.
• Communicate facility updates to management and peers, via logs and reports.
• Attend supervision and staff meetings and professional development trainings.
• Conduct safety, security and wellness rounds to ensure resident well-being.
• Work collaboratively to provide client-centered services.
• Staff are required to be awake for the entire shift.
