Job summary

Frontline Response International is seeking a dedicated Overnight Resident Assistant to provide essential overnight supervision and support for shelter residents. You will ensure welfare and safety, respond to emergencies, assist with intake, and coordinate with volunteers to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in social services preferred.
• At least 1 year of direct-service experience, preferably in a residential shelter environment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to respond to physical emergencies and evacuations.
• Background checks required upon hire.
• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain (preferred for meal prep).

Responsibilities

• Provide essential overnight coverage and supervision for residents.
• Conduct safety checks and enforce house rules.
• Assist in screening and intake for program services.
• Conduct resident orientation and coordinate with volunteers.
• Drive agency van to transport clients as needed.
• Maintain client files and data.
• Complete nightly reports and communicate with daytime staff.
• Assist with intake or discharge during overnight hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas.
