The Rescue Mission in Tacoma is seeking a Shelter Generalist for the Family Shelter to maintain a safe, hospitable environment for guests and residents. You will perform intake steps, link residents to resources, and ensure shelter safety and operations are running smoothly.

You will also handle daily data entry, inventory management, and incident reporting, while embodying compassion and trauma-informed care in a busy, faith-based nonprofit setting.

• Connects and engages with residents, completing intake procedures and assessments, providing them with resources.
• Oversees all shelter endeavors, ensuring rules and shelter protocol are followed and all residents are safe.
• Fulfills residents' reasonable requests, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
• Performs daily data entry into databases and maintains the Shelter Generalist Shift Log.
• Collects shelter supplies, organizes inventory, and informs management of needed items.
