ATASK seeks a dedicated Residential Counselor for its Emergency Shelter in Boston, part of the Housing team serving Massachusetts clients. The role supports survivors and their children, requiring overnight shifts and teamwork with CBS Advocates to provide comprehensive shelter services.

The position emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and community-building within a 24/7 shelter. A high school diploma and domestic violence training are required, with CPR/First Aid and CORI checks completed.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with survivors of domestic violence.
• Experience in residential settings and with domestic violence survivors preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced shelter environment.
• Conversational ability in an Asian language is beneficial.
• Flexible schedule including overnight shifts and weekends as needed.
• Must complete required 25-hour Domestic Violence Training and CPR/First Aid certification.

Aufgaben

• Answer the 24-hour hotline and assist residents with basic needs.
• Provide emotional support and crisis management for residents.
• Maintain shelter safety, rules, and confidential records.
• Coordinate with CBS Advocates and other direct services staff.
• Assist with move-ins/move-outs and shelter tours.
• Distribute donations and coordinate in-house activities.
