Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Dover, NJ to safeguard clients across Logistics & Distribution and other sites. You will perform access-control procedures, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers.

Role offers overnight shifts with Fri/Sun schedules and tasks including routine patrols, incident reporting, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check per laws.
• Background histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.
• Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel, drivers, and vendors according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
