Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Residential Treatment Specialist for overnight shifts at the Mary Benson House in Western North Carolina. The role provides direct care to adults with psychiatric and/or substance use challenges in a residential setting, supporting safety, meals, childcare, transportation, and the overall therapeutic environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and fair, with high school or higher education and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years healthcare experience, or an Associate of Arts in mental health, or equivalent training/experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents as delegated by the house manager, program director, or supervisor.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per policy and standards; monitor self-administration of medication.
• Assist residents and children with nutritional needs.
• Observe residents and communicate significant changes to the treatment team; meet residents’ needs.
• Follow the care plan to address emotional needs and safety level checks.
• Communicate with residents, family, and co-workers in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrate positive consumer relations and assist other staff as needed.
