Job summary

InVision Human Services, Inc. seeks an Overnight Awake Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and implement the Individual Support Plan for residents during the night shift. The role emphasizes safety, medical responsiveness, and respectful, person-centered interaction.

The position requires adherence to regulations, active participation in team debriefings, and collaboration with the house team to advance each person’s goals and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; preferred experience in social services or with people with intellectual disabilities/mental health needs.
• Prior knowledge of 6400 regulations is a plus; professional growth through industry information is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Individual Support Plan for people supported during the overnight shift.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and provides emergent medical care as needed.
• Encourages the person served to be the decision maker in their life and responds with respect and understanding.
• Performs tasks to support the person’s goals when not directly engaged with them, including community and in-home activities.
• Participates in debriefing sessions and acts on feedback to improve care and safety.
