Stars Behavioral Health Group in Irvine, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Clerk for the overnight shift at the Coastal Star Crisis Stabilization Unit. You will support intake, records, and QA/QI processes to ensure accuracy and DMH compliance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year unit clerk or clerical healthcare experience, plus QA or billing exposure. CPR/First Aid and a CA driver’s license are required or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience & Skills: One (1) year unit clerk or clerical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting. QA experience preferred. Billing experience.
• Compliance & Safety: Valid California Driver’s License with an eligible driving record. CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Gather, process and track new client information for intake, treatment and discharge.
• Verify Medi-Cal eligibility and open new client records in EMR/IBHIS as assigned.
• Ensure records comply with agency policy and DMH requirements; accurate reporting.
• Assist in facility billing and vendor payments; manage petty cash as needed.
• Support quality control, QA/QI efforts and data analysis.
