Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Overnight Pharmacy Technician (12a-8a) to join our integrated health system. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with stocking, compounding, inventory control, and medication processing in a fast-paced environment.

You will support sterile preparation, document workflows in Epic, and ensure adherence to drug-handling policies. The role requires accuracy, organization, and strong communication with team members and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required with 2 years of Pharm Tech experience or completion of NYU Pharmacy Technician training.
• Pharmacy terminology, labeling and dispensing procedures knowledge essential.
• Strong organization, communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Completes annual competency assessments and unit inspections.
• Stores, reviews stock and expirable medications; receives shipments and documents receipts.
• Complies with state and federal laws on controlled substances and 340B program.
• Maintains inventory, stocks units, and supports aseptic technique and IV room procedures.
• Documents sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision and uses HIS for patient data.
• Trains new pharmacy technicians and handles medication order workflow.
• Troubleshoots inquiries, communicates with providers and patients, and triages calls.
