Job summary

NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Part-time Pharmacy Technician on weekends with rotating days/evenings/overnights. Under supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will complete compounding, inventory management, and order processing in Epic and the hospital system.

The role requires a high school diploma or NYU technician program, NYS certification, strong attention to detail, and solid communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2 years of pharm tech experience, or completion of NYU program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and drug labeling/dispensing procedures.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Stores, secures, and reviews stock for expired medications.
• Places and expedites orders; verifies receipts and entering in Epic.
• Demonstrates knowledge of state/federal laws on controlled substances.
• Maintains inventory and assists with aseptic technique and IV room procedures.
• Assists in training new Pharmacy Technicians.
