Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician – overnights (12a-8a) to assist under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will be responsible for completing duties listed, ensuring accuracy and safety in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include competency assessments, unit inspections, inventory management, order placement and receipt verification, and maintaining patient medication records in the system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 2 years as a Pharm Tech or completion of NYU Pharmacy Technician training.
• Strong organization and communication skills; attention to detail essential.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology; accurate labeling and dispensing practices.

Responsibilities

• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Stores and secures stock; reviews for expired medications.
• Places and expedites orders; verifies receipts and documents invoices.
• Handles drug receiving and updates Epic and supplier portals.
• Maintains inventory and prevents stockouts; removes outdated items.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and IV room procedures.
• Documents sterile product compounding under pharmacist supervision.
