Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - overnights (12a-8a) to join our team. You will perform medication procurement, stock control, unit-dose distribution, and aseptic compounding under a Pharmacist's supervision using Epic and hospital systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 2 years of tech experience or completed NYU's training program, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of drug handling regulations; certification and NYS registration are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years ofPharmacy technician experience or completion of NYU Pharmacy Technician training.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and labeling/dispensing procedures.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers and basic Microsoft programs; Pharmacy Technician certification and NYSED registration required.

Responsibilities

• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Stores and secures stock; reviews for expired medications.
• Places and expedites orders; receipts, documents in Epic and supplier portals.
• Maintains aseptic technique and IV room procedures under Pharmacist supervision.
• Maintains inventory and unit-dose distribution; predictive stocking.
• Trains newly hired Pharmacy Technicians per guidelines.
