Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is seeking an overnight Technical Support Engineer - Patch Coordinator to own Windows and Linux patch cycles in a multi‑data center environment. You will monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with day shift on pre-approved maintenance and handoffs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years IT experience, strong patching tooling (BigFix/Ansible), and VMware expertise, with a detail‑oriented, independent approach to overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years IT experience; 2+ years Windows/Linux troubleshooting.
• 2+ years with VMware vSphere/vCenter administration.
• Experience with patch management tools (BigFix, Ansible) and scheduling.
• Experience with scheduled maintenance and change processes in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end patching for Windows and Linux servers during overnight windows.
• Apply OS patches, hotfixes, and updates using BigFix, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Validate deployment success and document outcomes for each patch cycle.
• Monitor production systems overnight and respond to incidents and alarms.
• Coordinate with day-shift and change management for pre-approval and handoffs.
• Maintain patch logs and contribute to monthly compliance reports.
