Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking a full-time A&R (Intake) Mental Health Technician to join our Admissions & Referral team. You will help create a safe, supportive environment during the admission process and support patients through the initial steps of care.

Located in Arlington, TX, this role involves overnight 12-hour shifts, strong communication, and de-escalation skills to ensure safety and comfort for patients across ages facing behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm and professional under high pressure.
• Physical ability to assist with patient interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions and intake procedures.
• Conduct safety searches and document belongings at admission.
• Observe and document patient behaviors and interactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation during shifts.
• Support daily living activities and unit orientation.
• Use de-escalation techniques and provide safe interventions when needed.
• Escort and supervise patients as required throughout the facility.
