Job summary

Amrize is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. The role involves installing and assembling new machines, maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Shift hours are typically 10:00pm–7:00am with variations based on business needs. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, perform repairs, weld and fabricate components, and maintain detailed logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years working in plant/industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Skilled with hand and power tools; diagnostic equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills for repairs.
• Strong preventive/predictive maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, and quarry equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Inspect equipment to identify failures or safety hazards.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair equipment as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and document repairs and inspections.
• Operate forklifts and lifts safely to access equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Ensure work complies with MSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Communicate shift activities to day shift and supervisors.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental policies.
