Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead a skilled team on the plant floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations. The role emphasizes hands-on guidance, supporting reliable production and rapid issue resolution.

You will oversee work orders, coordinate with planners, participate in handovers, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong safety practices on site in Alabama.

Qualifications

• At least five years of manufacturing or maintenance-supervision experience.
• Experience supervising and developing industrial maintenance personnel.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with drive systems, transmissions, and related mechanical equipment.
• SAP or comparable computerized maintenance management system experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team’s compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance work orders, modifications, and approvals are complete.
• Attend daily operations shift-handover meetings to review the past 24 hours.
• Lead maintenance shift-handover meetings and review downtime, completed work orders, and follow-up actions.
• Represent maintenance during production meetings and communicate equipment priorities.
• Review planned job packages for labor, materials, and priorities; assign work orders.
• Partner with planners to manage backlog and establish work priorities.
• Spend at least 60% of the shift on the production floor engaging with mechanics.
• Direct and monitor maintenance work for safety, quality, time, and cost.
• Provide technical support to ensure maintenance jobs are completed correctly.
• Document labor hours, materials, failure causes, and equipment conditions in SAP.
• Maintain strong housekeeping and safe work practices on the shift.
• Lead continuous-improvement activities for equipment areas.
