M Maine Veterans’ Homes in Maine is seeking an experienced LPN Charge Nurse for the overnight shift at Freedom Bay Memory Care Village. You will provide clinical leadership to CNAs and nurses, ensuring safe, compassionate, person-centered care during the night.

You will oversee care plans, monitor changes in resident status, and coordinate staffing to maintain quality care in a memory care setting. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in the State of Maine.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working with individuals with dementia or in a memory care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents during the overnight shift per care plans.
• Supervise and provide direction to CNAs and other nursing staff on the overnight shift.
• Coordinate and delegate assignments to ensure staffing and workload distribution.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments within licensure and policy.
• Promote a calm, safe, and supportive environment for residents overnight.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions as needed.
