Job summary

Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to take on a daytime Charge Nurse role. The position oversees care delivery, supports staff, and ensures residents receive attentive, respectful care in a memory care setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Missouri.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Previous leadership or charge experience is a plus—but not required.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• A passion for serving residents in a skilled nursing or memory care setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support CNAs and direct care staff.
• Provide and document resident care according to care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Report changes in resident conditions to RNs or physicians.
• Participate in rounds, admissions, discharges, and care planning.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all medication protocols.
