Care Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join as Charge Nurse for overnight full-time shifts in Iowa. You will lead nursing care, supervise CNAs, and coordinate resident care with an interdisciplinary team.

You will administer medications, monitor outcomes, ensure documentation accuracy, and mentor staff while upholding state and federal regulations and the facility’s policies. A strong commitment to dignity and respect is essential.

Formación

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing, valid in Iowa or activation allowed.
• Current CPR Certification.
• State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct ongoing assessments of residents’ clinical status, including vital signs and changes in condition.
• Deliver and oversee direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy where permitted, catheter care and other skilled interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor responses and document fully.
• Serve as a clinical leader on the unit, coordinating resident care and communicating with physicians, nurse leadership, residents and families.
• Supervise and mentor CNAs and other staff to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, infection control and Care Initiatives policies.
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and families regarding care plans and goals.
