Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II to perform specimen receiving and processing, patient registration, and order entry on the 10pm–6:30am overnight shift.

You will centrifuge, label, aliquot samples, and deliver to test sites, while maintaining accurate records and running routine lab operations. This clinical, patient-facing role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to hospital policies.

Competenze

• Two years of laboratory or patient care experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification, training, or experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and laboratory information systems is beneficial.

Mansioni

• Register patients and process orders in the computer system.
• Perform specimen receiving, processing, centrifugation, labeling and storage.
• Deliver specimens to test sites and ensure proper handling.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment; train staff as needed.
• Operate hospital information systems, including downtime procedures.
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients.
