Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Inventory Lead for the 3rd shift to supervise overnight inventory and material flow in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will guide a small team, ensure accuracy, and support production with timely materials.

The role combines hands-on warehouse work with leadership, focusing on continuous improvement, waste reduction, and compliance with safety and operational standards. Strong ERP/WMS experience and forklift skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in inventory control, warehousing or materials management with leadership experience.
• Experience with ERP/WMS (SAP/Oracle) and inventory accuracy processes.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support 3rd shift inventory team to meet safety, quality, and ops goals.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory activities to maintain accuracy.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate receiving, put-away, picking, and staging to support production.
• Safely operate forklifts and promote a safety-first culture.
• Maintain inventory transactions in ERP and warehouse systems.
• Partner with production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize processes and reduce waste.
