Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking an ICU Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. This role offers hands-on experience in critical care alongside skilled veterinarians and technicians.

You will assist with hospitalized patients, restrain animals, monitor comfort, fill non-controlled meds, document status, and help maintain the ICU. We offer PTO, health, dental, vision, 401K with company match, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in veterinary medicine is a plus.
• Interest in growing within emergency veterinary care.
• Comfort with hospital software documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist ICU Technicians with care of hospitalized patients.
• Safely restrain patients for treatments and procedures.
• Monitor patient comfort, cleanliness, and well-being.
• Fill non-controlled medication prescriptions as directed.
• Document patient status and client communications in hospital software.
• Maintain ICU cleanliness, organization and stocking.
• Work independently and with the team to support patient care.
