Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking an ICU Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. This role offers hands-on experience in critical care alongside skilled veterinarians and technicians.

You will assist with hospitalized patients, restrain animals, monitor comfort, fill non-controlled meds, document status, and help maintain the ICU. We offer PTO, health, dental, vision, 401K with company match, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

Prior experience in veterinary medicine is a plus.
Interest in growing within emergency veterinary care.
Comfort with hospital software documentation.

Responsibilities

Assist ICU Technicians with care of hospitalized patients.
Safely restrain patients for treatments and procedures.
Monitor patient comfort, cleanliness, and well-being.
Fill non-controlled medication prescriptions as directed.
Document patient status and client communications in hospital software.
Maintain ICU cleanliness, organization and stocking.
Work independently and with the team to support patient care.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include

Assist ICU Technicians with the care of hospitalized patients
