Job summary

Giant Eagle's Market District in Carmel seeks an Overnight Team Leader with 3–5 years of management experience in grocery operations. You will lead a night crew, coach staff, and ensure top-notch guest service while maintaining department records, standards, and safety.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, budgeting, inventory, and compliance. The role emphasizes inclusion, development of future leaders, and a professional representation of the company at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior management experience in grocery operations/retail or related field.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Market District procedures and operations.
• Ability to read and interpret Profit and Loss statements.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan the work and distribute tasks among Team Members.
• Provide for safety and security of Team Members and the store.
• Manage the department budget.
• Manage inventory for the department or location.
• Monitor or implement compliance measures.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training to reduce turnover and control labor costs.
• Provide motivational leadership and set an exemplary example.
• Identify strengths and opportunities, schedule effectively.
• Develop future leaders and nurture inclusion and diversity.
