Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Overnight Stocker in our Fort Madison, IA store to deliver outstanding customer service while stocking shelves and unloading trucks overnight.

You will assist customers, rotate stock for freshness, monitor mis-picks, and help maintain clean, organized backroom areas. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, clear communication, and adherence to our dress code and policies.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them find what they need.
• Help customers reach items, carry heavy purchases, and relay requests to the team.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Monitor mis-picks, product outs, and wrong deliveries, reporting issues.
• Keep stock organized and restock damaged items.
• Tag overstock and understock items for input.
• Notify scanning coordinator of new items.
• Work with teammates for a smooth overnight operation.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and policies.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects.
