Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Stocker to keep shelves full, organized, and ready for customers each morning. You’ll unload trucks, stock, rotate stock for freshness, and report issues to the team, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Applicants should be able to follow instructions, perform basic math, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the team
• Unload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, run overstock on risers, and rotate product to ensure freshness
• Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly
• Organize stock for greatest efficiency and clean and restock any damaged items
• Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers
• Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input
• Work alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, efficient overnight operation
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
• You’ll receive direction and support from: Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Perishables, Store Operations, and E-commerce, and Overnight Stock Manager
