Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an Overnight Front Desk Clerk who warmly welcomes guests, checks them in and out, processes payments, and supports smooth night operations.

You will register guests, issue keys, answer phones, upsell rooms, handle cash and credit transactions, prepare daily accounting reports, assist with concierge services, and coordinate with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year front desk/guest service experience preferred.
• Must speak fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Upsell rooms to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately process cash and credit card transactions; post charges and prepare deposits.
• Complete daily accounting reports and prepare them for management review.
• Issue and manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
