Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites - Saraland seeks a Night Auditor to manage the overnight front desk, balance daily transactions, and ensure service quality for guests. You will greet guests, handle check-ins/outs, and coordinate with housekeeping to maintain room readiness.

The role requires solid computer skills, strong communication, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. Prior hotel front desk experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required; some college preferred.
• Six months related experience or training preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment, but will often work independently on shift.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Balancing the accounts from day shift.
• Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms.
• Manage front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify IDs.
• Register guests with necessary information and dates of stay.
• Schedule wake-up calls and handle guest requests.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Create invoices, bills and checks for vendors, employees and contractors.
• Maintain all documentation pertaining to the role and end-of-day audits.
• Answer calls and inquiries related to potential bookings.
• Provide information about rooms, rates and hotel amenities.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and vacant at check-out.
• Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized experiences for guests.
